Publication Announcement: Skies of Wonder

Good morning, everyone. I've already announced this on Twitter, but I am pleased as punch to share with you that my short story "The Adventure of the Unburnt Book" will be a part of the Skies of Wonder, Skies of Danger: Stories of Airships, Pirates, and Wizards. I and my writer friends have been working on this one for a few months now, and we are all so excited to get to share these stories with the world.

"The Adventure of the Unburnt Book" is the story of Cragg, the library golem, who just wants friends, decent penmanship, and to rescue an airship full of books from the Nazis. Unfortunately, his hands are made of stone, the airship is on fire, and the Nazis have a boat full of jetpack zombies with other ideas.

Skies of Wonder, Skies of Danger is going to include a baker's dozen of short stories, for just under 49,000 words of airborne, piratical delight. In addition to Cragg's tale, we've got werewolves, tea witches, anti-imperialist queer featherwitch pirates, and at least one economic allegory. The folks I'm in this anthology with are among the best writers and best people I know, and I am so grateful to get to share a Table of Contents with them.

The nitty-gritty: The book is currently scheduled to publish on June 11th, and will be available in e-book and print-on-demand across a variety of platforms, including but not limited to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBooks, Google Play, and several independent e-book retailers. The price is still not set, pending final page count. And as always, if you get a print-on-demand copy and want me to sign it, I am happy to do that.

I'll release more details here and on Twitter as I have them, but if you want to get your information straight from the source, follow the anthology's Twitter account: @SkiesofWonderBk.

Excelsior!
